Alerts

Alerts (/observability/alerts) manages threshold, log-pattern, and anomaly rules. Home surfaces firing and acknowledged rules plus recent alert events for the current scope.

Rule types

  • Metric / request thresholds — error rate, latency p95, request volume.
  • Log matches — count or rate of lines matching a query.
  • Composite — combine signals where your workspace enables advanced monitors.

Each rule carries environment and service dimensions so multi-tenant workspaces stay isolated.

Lifecycle

  1. Evaluate — the alert engine compares live telemetry to rule conditions.
  2. Fire — creates an alert event and notifies configured channels (Slack, PagerDuty, webhooks).
  3. Acknowledge / resolve — operators mark state from the console or via on-call apps.

Use Investigate on Home or the alert detail page to jump into Logs or Requests with rule context pre-filled.

On-call

Schedules, escalations, and mobile push are documented in On-call.
