Plans & Billing
Open Settings → Plan & Billing (/settings/plan) to see your workspace's plan, usage, currency, upgrade options, and spend cap. Invoices live at /settings/invoices and billing details at /settings/billing-details.
Plan tiers
A new workspace starts on Starter with a 14-day trial that gets Team-level limits.

Scale and Enterprise are arranged directly with the Owlpane team and run on a dedicated ingest cell. Choose Scale or Enterprise on the plan page to get in touch.
What each plan includes
The full matrix of allowances, project caps, retention, and feature gates lives in Quotas & Limits. In short:
- Starter — a fixed monthly ingest allowance, a project cap, and the shortest retention.
- Team — usage-based ingest with a protective monthly cap, unlimited projects, and Team retention.
- Scale / Enterprise — custom ingest and retention, plus the enterprise identity and audit features.
The trial
When you create a workspace it starts on Starter and is put on a 14-day trial that applies Team-level limits — no card and no action required. When the trial ends your workspace keeps the free Starter plan; nothing is deleted and nothing is blocked. You can upgrade at any time to keep the higher limits.
Team pricing
Team is priced by data volume — never per host or per seat. Prices are set per currency and are not converted between them, so pick your currency before you subscribe.

Scale shows an indicative commitment rate of $0.20/GB.
Your billing provider is the source of truth for what you are charged. The pricing above drives the in-console estimate and the spend cap. If you already have a subscription, it is billed in the currency you chose; to change it after subscribing, contact support.
Billing controls
Billing actions are role-gated:
- Owner — changes the billing currency, starts checkout, opens the billing portal, and manages the spend cap.
- Owner and admin — view invoices.
- Everyone — see the current plan and usage on the plan page.
The billing currency can only be set before you subscribe. Prices exclude VAT and other taxes.
Subscription states
A subscription is always in one of these states:

trialing | Inside the trial window. |
past_due | The last payment failed. Nothing is switched off immediately; update your payment method to keep the plan. |
canceled | The subscription has ended. |
Spend cap
The owner can set a spend cap on the plan page. It bounds how far usage-based Team charges can grow and protects you from a runaway bill. Estimated charges are shown against the cap as the billing period progresses.
Usage and the monthly reset
The plan page shows data ingested this month, the project count, and the billing period renewal date. Where a plan has a fixed allowance, the usage bar shows your consumption against it; where ingest is metered, usage resets at the start of each calendar month.
