1. Set telemetry.sdk.language and deployment.environment.name on the OTLP resource.
2. Export Server spans (HTTP/RPC) with routes, status, and exception events on errors.
3. Export Client spans for databases and outbound HTTP (db.system, peer.service).
4. Export OTLP metrics to the same ingest URL (/v1/metrics) — runtime boards chart process/JVM/Go/Node metrics listed in the API runtimeMetricNames() table.
5. Open Observability → Runtimes → {language} (or Serverless for faas.name spans).
