User GuideOn-call & Incident Response

Mobile & Desktop Apps

The Owlpane On-call app is available for:

  • iOS & iPadOS (Universal app via Apple App Store, with two-pane split view on iPad)
  • macOS (Mac Catalyst / native desktop build)
  • Android Phone & Tablet (Google Play, with adaptive two-pane layout on tablets and foldables)
  • Windows (Signed Windows MSIX package via Microsoft Store)

Signing In

Owlpane On-call supports three sign-in methods:

  1. 6-Digit Login Code (Recommended on Mobile): Enter your workspace email address in the app to receive a 6-digit one-time sign-in code (POST /v1/auth/mobile/code), then enter the code directly in the app.
  2. Magic Link Deep Link: Tap the sign-in link in your email (owlpane://auth?token=...) to open the app directly and establish a session.
  3. Email & Password: Sign in with your standard Owlpane account credentials.

Push Notification Permissions & Quiet Hours

After signing in, open Settings → Register This Device for Push to register your device (POST /v1/mobile/devices):

  • Critical Alerts: When enabled, critical severity incidents bypass system mute and quiet hours so you never miss a production outage.
  • Quiet Hours: Set a local start and end window (for example 22:00 to 07:00) to silence warning and info notifications overnight.
  • Test Push: Owners can send a synthetic verification notification (POST /v1/mobile/push/test) from the Settings tab to verify end-to-end delivery.
