AWS_RDS_Logs Integration & Dashboards

Monitor AWS_RDS_Logs in Owlpane using pre-built starter dashboards and OpenTelemetry / OTLP ingestion pipelines.

1. Install the Dashboard Pack

  1. Open the Owlpane console and navigate to Dashboards → Library (/observability/dashboards/library).
  2. Search for AWS_RDS_Logs.
  3. Click Install to Dashboards on the desired pack to create a live copy in your workspace.

Alternatively, export the pack JSON from an existing workspace and import it via Dashboards → Import (/observability/dashboards/import).

2. Configure telemetry (customer-defined)

Ship logs to your project OTLP endpoint (ingest key from Setup / Projects & keys). Library panels use log SQL on fields matching the pack (CloudWatch log export → S3 → forwarder, Kinesis/Firehose, or an OpenTelemetry logs pipeline).

Owlpane does not pull CloudWatch Logs from your account. You configure export and forwarding in AWS, then map attributes to what the installed dashboard expects.

3. Verify

  • Logs explorer — matching log volume
  • Installed AWS_RDS_Logs dashboard
